The modules of the 10xx series are connected with a pair of lines (suitable for RS485), with a PLC, or via an adapter with a computer. The transmission is DATA+ non-inverted on one line and DATA-inverted on the second. At the receiver, the original data signal is reconstructed from the difference between the two voltage levels. This has the advantage that common-mode interference has an effect on the signal quality. Several transmitters and receivers may be connected to one wire pair. With the configuration programme YottaUtility (can be downloaded from us free of charge), it is possible to recognise the connected nodes, whether wired via RS485 or Ethernet, directly from the computer and to configure them with all parameters.
